Composer Gregory Hall, author of the American Prize-finalist opera “Marvelous,” will give a performance / lecture on his sequel to the Wizard of Oz in advance of its premiere next year in Aberdeen, South Dakota—the birthplace of Oz.

Gregory will also discuss the “Oz Problem” at the heart of his work: how he addresses it in Marvelous, and how it has likely held back L. Frank Baum‘s Oz sequel books from a wider audience.
